Discern and explore protest action at KC Nuclear Weapons Plant, Memorial Day 2025
WHERE DO WE STAND? WORKS OF WAR, OPPRESSION, GREED, CHAOS AND SUFFERING VS. WORKS OF MERCY, HUMAN RIGHTS, MORALITY, PROTEST?
KCMO's nuclear weapons plant is being doubled in size; it is involved in weapons of mass destruction.
Meet to discuss and discern what we wish to do this coming Memorial Day weekend in regard to this plant.
Why:  Weapons of mass destruction do not have a place when all life on this planet is in jeopardy.  Does being Destroyers of this World make us part of global evil? Do we follow the command to Love God and Love one's neighbor? When millions of persons are subject to death by starvation, while billions of dollars are used for military and nuclear purposes, I feel compelled to take a stand.
When: Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm.
Where: Home of Henry and Jane Stoever, 8405 W. 88th Terrace, Overland Park, KS 66212 (east of Antioch).
What: enter into a dialogue and explore what we are called to do.
Potluck, and bring your questions, thoughts, ideas, etc. (We will have plenty of food; if you have no food to bring, fine! Eat hearty anyway.
